Hello! This is a link to an example website

In the past few days we finially got internet installed in the flat. I am excited! haha, now you can see really what I have been up to. Before I get into the many stories of Paris and Madrid, I'm going to do another round of pictures I took in London before we left.

One afternoon we went to the British Museum. It was huge! Unfortunately the reading room was closed so we couldn't see the Magna Carta but we did get to see the Rosetta Stone. I can't find the picture of it in the file at the moment. Somehow that one got separated from the rest. Here are a few pictures of inside and outside of the museum though.

The museum of London is very small compared to the other ones in the area. This one is located in a more... businessy area of London. It covered the history of the area from the time of the first humans... I found the part on the Great Fire of 1666 to be especially interesting.

From the british museum I walked towards the Big Ben clock tower & the parliment buildings.

*** Not finished! Time to go out... Will return soon!

Hello!

I finally got a chance to upload a few pictures from earlier on in the trip.  Here is just a brief peek into the hundreds of pictures I've taken ;) I linked them so it wouldn't take your computer 5,000 hours to view. If you have any trouble with the links let me know!!

First, the Plane there. It was a nice flight. Hardly any turbulance.

On the first day we arrived in London we moved into our hotel.
The hotel was in one of the same buildings as the one pictured. Winston Churchill had lived in one of the ones down the street. There was a plaque on the unit. The hotel was really rather small. In fact - very, very small. We stayed there for about 5 nights. Hotel. During this time we spent most of the time getting to know the area, learning how to use the tube, and finding a new place to live

We were within walking distance (*) to St. James Park, Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace (among many other things).

(* Walking distance in London, I realize, is much different than what I would have ever considered walking distance at home. I really have no idea how much on average I walk each day in London... But it is A LOT. A 3 mile walk to get my cell phone was considered brief. I think I nearly walked my feet off. They are adjusting though, luckily. Walking is enjoyable though. Some of the best sights I've seen have been by accident while walking. Plus,I have not gotten seriously lost yet. The underground stations are all very well labeled with signs every-so-often pointing towards the nearest one.

The buildings are all absolutely beautiful. Another building in Westminster.

Random vaccum cleaner we found in the hotel. (Erin and the Org *wink wink*) It was in our first hotel.

I found this so funny. I had to tie the different convertors together to make them work. I think I laughed about 10 minutes at my finished eletrical project.

Classical picture I know you've all been waiting for: The Phone Booth

Helga and I went to a concert one night after moving into the flat. It was at la Scala right out of Kings Cross Station. The venue had a really fun atmosphere. Plus we enjoyed Of Montreal. We didn't get that great of a spot to stand. Fun, nonetheless.

So, as I mentioned in my last entry, we did find a place to live. It's going good. We're getting along with the other room mates. Although, I think we may move in the future. I'm pretty sure we can find a better price some where with more things... like a dryer and internet. Although, we are supposed to have it now.

Currently, I am sitting in a hotel room in Beauvais, France. I spent 4 days in Paris. Due to time restraints, I will post on this and Madrid soon with many pictures!! (It took me more than 3 hours to upload 20 pictures today... Internet connection still isn't that great. But I'm not complaining, really). I'm trying to catch up on all of the entries I wanted to write but couldn't.... I'm trying to keep it in some sort of order. haha, I doubt that'll happen though.

I should get going. Early flight tomorrow to Madrid!!

Hello everyone! Sorry this took so long to set up. I have had very limited internet access since I've arrived in London. For this reason, and because it's a pound a half hour, this entry is going to be very brief.

I found a house to live in. I've moved completely in. Email me if you'd like my address and/or my new cell phone number: sanskiwi@hotmail.com

I've been throughly enjoying myself. More to follow on what I've seen and all of the pictures I've taken when we get the internet hooked up at home. Samia, the landlady, expects that to be around this upcoming Monday through Wednesday.

Talk to you then!

(Feel free to comment!!!)
